Custom fields as I see it are for example a field that is used such as the {{name}} field that6 sits on the contact that could have data that personalizes the relationship on scale. This would be something like {{favourite football team}} A custom value is a value that is centrally controlled but rolled out to the contacts enmass. GHL uses these and they are super useful.

Bruno Domingues we run workshops every 14 days. I have a pipeline for people who register for my workshop. So with a custom value I could simply exchange the workshop title in the message templates of the pipeline.
